Did you know?

Did you know FUMC offers year round programs that encourage our youth to Seek, Serve, Grow and Connect? This year as we continue to grow and learn about ourselves, about others, and most of all about our Heavenly Father, we are exploring what it means to be “Under Construction for Christ.” Phillipians 1:6 says “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Come check out our youth programs and see how Christ is working in you. THANK YOU!!! Thank you for all your support as the youth continue to collect items for the Summer Lunch Program. The youth would like to extend an invitation to our Church Family to help during our next packing. We will pack lunches Wednesday, July 12 after the Wednesday night dinner and evening program. Come be a part of an amazing mission project.

We will continue to collect items through August.

Youth Schedule

The Youth at FUMC have committed to assisting the Heartwood Center collect items and assemble lunch bags for the Summer lunch Program during June, July, and August. Our first round was a success, we completed 180 bags. With your continued support, we hope to collect items again to assemble in July.

Each week we will highlight two items needed for the lunch bags. Let’s see how many of each item we can gather! The youth group will gather items and assemble bags to distribute. This week’s highlighted items are: Gallon Size Ziploc Bags and individual small cereal boxes.
Please place all donations in the marked bin in Mission Control (located in the hallway between the gathering space and music offices).
Contact Amy Dotto @ for more info.

The Youth Group of FUMC is excited and proud to send out a team of 7 High Schoolers and 2 adults to our Local Sumer Mission, Fred Camp. Please join us in praying for our team and the Staff/Volunteers of Fred Camp, that they are able to share God’s love and feel God move in their lives throughout the week.

Youth Small Group Study

Youth Sunday School classes utilize media, activities, and discussion to explore the Bible and our Methodist traditions. During the school year FUMC offers a sixth-grade class, a seventh and eighth-grade class, and a senior high class at 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. Please check the yellow announcement sheets for classroom locations.

During the school year youth will enjoy different study opportunities on Wednesday evenings after the family fellowship dinner. In this intimate setting youth may delve further into Christian topics.

Confirmation within the Methodist Church is a time of spiritual exploration that culminates in an affirmation of faith and membership in the church. The class is open to all youth who have not yet been confirmed, beginning in sixth grade. Confirmation classes begin in January and run through Pentecost (May or June). Classes meet on Sunday morning. In addition to class time, the program offers field trips, a lock-in, and mission opportunities.

UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)

During the school year UMYF meets every Sunday evening in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday evenings we all relax a bit and enjoy fellowship. Worship, study and discussion groups, and FUN all await youth on Sunday evening. We seek to break down barriers and build an environment where all youth can question and grow in their faith. We share a snack supper followed by the UMYF activities between 5:00-7:00.
