Limitless Wisdom

As you reflect on the scripture this week, think on the following questions:

Who are the people in your life that you consider wise? How have they shared God’s wisdom with you? How might you share God’s wisdom with others this week?

Our God is generous and gives wisdom to those who search for it. Our starting point in receiving this wisdom is asking for it; asking through prayer. A wonderful prayer for wisdom is found in our Book of Common Prayer:

“O Wisdom on High, by you the meek are guided in judgment, and light rises up in darkness for the godly. Grant us, in all doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would have us do, that we may be saved from all false choices, and that in your light we may see light, and in your straight path may not stumble; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen”

Series Information

Join us for our series following the Christmas Season planned to help us begin the New Year on the right path. Life itself can seem so limited. We fuss about our time constraints. We complain about growing older. We feel the pressures of our finances. All this can make us feel so limited. In addition, we make New Years’ resolutions in hopes of changing things, yet we find ourselves in the same old boxes or navigating the same circles that take us nowhere good. Start in the right direction this year! Begin afresh at church and with God in 2019! In worship, we will encounter the limitless nature of God and how that nature makes all the difference for the year ahead, as well as for each moment of each day.
