Proverbs 25:11 “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”
There is something special and powerful about a word “fitly spoken”. The right word at the right time has the power to heal and strengthen, to guide and rescue. It is like an apple made of gold on a beautiful silver platter.
In today’s world, there is so much angst from words deemed unkind and often downright awful. There is so much hurt at the hands of the words of those who may disagree with another’s feelings, beliefs, etc. Words are powerful and can change experience in an instant. Today we want to show everyone around us the power of a few positive words. Words from a place of loving others as we are loved.
The challenge is to offer encouraging words to people around you. Grab yourself a handful of “post it” sticky notes and write little notes of encouragement on them. Then take them and post them around your office, school or home. Share some encouragement with the world!
They don’t need to say much to have a big impact! “I appreciate you” goes a long way. “Thank you” is another short and powerful message. For those in your home, “You are wonderful” could be an uplifter. And don’t forget yourself. Maybe you need a note on your mirror in the morning that says, “You’ve got this” as you begin your day. The possibilities are endless!
I pray you will see the big impact a little note will have on those around you. I pray you will be lifted as you share God’s love with others, people who know they are loved by you, perhaps those who you have struggles with, or maybe even with a random stranger! Go share “fitly spoken words” and see the invaluable “gold” impact!
