Today we hear again the story of the coming of the Holy Spirit in power on the day of Pentecost and about the means through which the church was birthed. It’s an amazing story of how a scattered group of believers were energized toward Christ’s transformative mission for the world.

 Do you feel energized by God’s Spirit?  Is the Holy Spirit something that you feel a relevant connection with day-to-day, why or why not?

 God’s Spirit stands waiting to embrace you and empower you. Consider (and perhaps list) obstacles to the work of the Spirit in your life?  Reflect on how obstacles can be removed and/or navigated, that you might experience a greater reliance upon the Holy Spirit.
